The Stowe-Morrisville Airport is a twelve minute drive. We can arrange to have a rental car waiting. They have a 3700-ft runway with pilot- controlled lights, GPS approaches, 100 LL and jet-A fuel. 802 888- 7845 or 800 898-7845.

Delta, JetBlue, and American and United all have commercial flights into Burlington International Airport which is 1 hour away by car. Rental cars are available.

Stowe-Morrisville Airport now offers commercial service to Westchester, New York  through Stowe Aviation.

From Boston: (3 1/2 hrs.) Take I-93 north to I-89 in Concord, New Hampshire. Take I-89 north to Vermont exit 10 (Waterbury). Following Route 100 north, go straight through Stowe and continue about 10 miles to a roundabout where Route 15 joins Route 100. Take the third exit and continue to a second roundabout where Route 100 turns right and Route 15 continues straight. Take the third exit onto Church Street. When Church Street ends in front of the court house, turn right onto Main Street. The Governor’s House is on the left. Or from Stowe, take the alternate route described below.

From Hartford: (3 1/2 hrs.) Take I-91 north to Vermont exit 10 (jct. I- 89). Take I-89 north to exit 10 (Waterbury). Following Route 100 north, go straight through Stowe and continue about 10 miles to a roundabout where Route 15 joins Route 100. Take the third exit and continue to a second roundabout where Route 100 turns right and Route 15 continues straight. Take the third exit onto Church Street. From New York City: (6 to 6 1/2 hrs.)

Driving Plan #1 (easy to follow, lots of services, best in very bad weather) Take Route 15 north (Hutchinson River, then Merritt Pkws.) to the junction with I-91 (Meriden, CT). Take I-91 north to Vermont exit 10 (jct. I-89). Take I-89 north to exit 10 (Waterbury). Following Route 100 north, go straight through Stowe and continue about 10 miles to a roundabout where Route 15 joins Route 100. Take the third exit and continue to a second roundabout where Route 100 turns right and Route 15 continues straight. Take the third exit onto Church Street. When Church Street ends in front of the court house, turn right onto Main Street. The Governor’s House is on the left. Or from Stowe, take the alternate route described below.

or Driving Plan #2 (slightly faster in heavy traffic, less traffic, must watch carefully for turn-offs, fewer services) Take I-87 North to exit 20 (Rutland, VT) Take Route 149 East to Fort Ann and turn left onto Route 4 North. Pass Rutland and Pico Peak Ski Area and turn left onto Route 100 North. Watch for Route 107. Bear right onto Route 107. Take I-89 North to exit 10 and follow the above directions to Hyde Park.

From Philadelphia: (8 hrs.) & Washington (11 hrs.): Take I-95 North to New York City. Follow Driving Plan #2 above by taking I-287 North to I-87 North. OR follow Driving Plan #1 above by crossing the George Washington Bridge, taking the Henry Hudson Parkway North which becomes the SawMill Parkway and then following signs for the Cross County Parkway, Route 15, and Hutchinson River Parkway.

From Montreal: (2 hrs.). Take Route 10 East to Route 35 South which connects to Route 133 South. Follow signs for Vermont, not New York. Take I-89 South to Route 104 in Fairfax. Follow Route 104 south to the junction with Route 15 in Cambridge. Turn left and follow Route 15 east through the town of Johnson. Continue until Route 100 joins Route 15 at a roundabout and turn right there onto Church Street. When Church Street ends in front of the court house, turn right onto Main Street. The Governor’s House is on the left.

From Albany: (4 hrs.) Take I-87 north to exit 20 (Glens Falls). Take Route 149 to Fort Ann. Turn left onto Route 4 north. Pass Rutland and Pico Peak Ski Area and turn left onto Route 100 North. Watch for Route 107. Bear right onto Route 107. Take I-89 North to exit 10 (Stowe-Waterbury). Following Route 100 north, go straight through Stowe and continue about 10 miles to a roundabout where Route 15 joins Route 100. Take the third exit and continue to a second roundabout where Route 100 turns right and Route 15 continues straight. Take the third exit onto Church Street. When Church Street ends in front of the court house, turn right onto Main Street. The Governor’s House is on the left. Or from Stowe, take the alternate route described below. Alternately, when you reach Fair Haven on Route 4 north, take Route 22A north to Vergennes. Take Route 7 north to South Burlington. Take I-189 to I-89 south. Take I-89 south to exit 10 (Waterbury-Stowe). The route through Burlington is a shorter distance, but will take longer.

From Burlington Airport: (1 hr.) Turn left out of the airport. Turn right at the first light onto Route 2 West. Go a couple of miles & turn onto I-89 South. From I-89, take exit 10 (Waterbury, Stowe) Turn left onto Route 100 North. Following Route 100 north, go straight through Stowe and continue about 10 miles to a roundabout where Route 15 joins Route 100. Take the third exit and continue to a second roundabout where Route 100 turns right and Route 15 continues straight. Take the third exit onto Church Street. When Church Street ends in front of the court house, turn right onto Main Street. The Governor’s House is on the left. Or from Stowe, take the alternete route described below.

Alternate route from Stowe: About 1 1/2 miles north Stowe Village on Route 100 as the road bends sharply to the right, turn left onto Stagecoach Road.  Stay on Stagecoach about 6 miles, straight through one stop sign, until it ends. Turn left onto Cady’s Falls Rd. and continue until it ends at Main St. in Hyde Park. Turn left onto Main and look for The Governor’s House about two blocks along on the left.

GPS often takes you this way. It is not faster than the routes described above. This route is NOT recommended in a snow storm.
